How do I set up my business profile?+

Filing Forms
What tax forms does Taxora support?+
Taxora currently supports: S04 (Individual Annual Return), S04A (Quarterly Estimates), S01 (Monthly Employer Remittance), S02 (Annual Employer Reconciliation), and GCT4A (GCT Return).
What is the S04 form?+
The S04 is the Individual Income Tax Return filed annually with TAJ. It covers all income sources, deductions, and tax computation. Due by March 15.
What is the S04A form?+
The S04A is for quarterly estimated tax payments. Self-employed individuals must file quarterly by March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15.
What is the S01 form?+
The S01 is the monthly Employer's Monthly Remittance return. Employers use it to remit PAYE, NIS, NHT, Education Tax, and HEART deductions. Due by the 14th of the following month.
How do I generate a filled PDF?+
Complete all steps in the filing wizard, then click “Generate PDF” on the review step. Taxora fills the official TAJ form template with your computed values and generates a downloadable PDF.
AI Features
How does AI transaction categorization work?+
Taxora uses AI to analyze your transaction descriptions and automatically categorize them as income or expense types. You can review and correct any categorizations before filing.
How accurate is the AI categorization?+
The AI achieves high accuracy for common transaction types (bank transfers, utilities, supplies). We recommend reviewing categorizations before filing. You can correct any miscategorized transactions with one click.
What are AI credits?+
AI features consume credits. Each AI chat message costs 2 credits, categorizing transactions costs 1 credit per transaction, and tax computation costs 10 credits. Free accounts get 200 credits at signup.
Can the AI fill my tax forms automatically?+
Yes. After importing and categorizing your transactions, the AI can suggest values for your S04 based on your transaction data. You review and approve before generating the final PDF.

Troubleshooting
My PDF doesn't look right / fields are blank+
This can happen if your PDF viewer doesn't support form fields. Try opening the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Chrome's built-in PDF viewer. If fields appear blank, the form may need NeedAppearances to be set — Taxora handles this automatically.
My import failed+
Check that your file is a valid CSV or Excel file with the required columns (date, description, amount). Dates should be in a standard format (YYYY-MM-DD or DD/MM/YYYY). Remove any header rows that don't match the expected format.
Validation errors on my form+
Taxora validates each step before you can proceed. Common issues: missing required fields (TRN, occupation), negative values where only positive values are expected, or expenses exceeding revenue. Check the error messages for specific guidance.
The tax computation doesn't match my manual calculation+
Ensure you're using the correct thresholds: J$1,799,376 for self-employed (NOT J$2,003,496 which is for employed persons). Also check that NIS is capped at J$5,000,000 income ceiling.
